One Night Stands Statistics – Everything You Need To Know

Gone are the days when a person had a one-night stand and was treated as the unicorn of the room.

Presently, it’s pretty much common to engage in something like this. You already know the fact if you have friends who are regulars at late night bars and clubs.

Chances are, even you have had one or more one night stands yourself. Believe me, there’s nothing wrong with it.

We all have our physical needs to satisfy. And when the stranger is sexy, you just can’t help but go with the flow.

But how many people are exactly into enjoying one-night stands? Are you and your friends really unicorns? Or is the whole world turning towards the same page?

Are people really satisfied with their one-night stand experiences?

People confide in one-night stands either to satisfy their sexual needs, to cope up with a bad breakup, to experiment with their sexuality, or just because they were really drunk and not in their senses.

When it comes to the point that if one night stands really satisfy their demands, then here are the statistics that tell the whole story –

When it comes to Europeans, men were much more satisfied with one-night stands in comparison to women. The difference is a drastic 38 percent for men and 16 percent for women.

Where do these people go to find potential one-night stand experiences?

About 40% of Americans prefer bars to find their one-night stand partners for the night. The number of Europeans choosing bars as their hook-up point was less than 30%.

When asked if they look for someone for a one-night stand in their offices, the Americans didn’t find the idea great at all while only 4% of Europeans were in favor of having a one-night stand partner from their workplace.

Recently, with the emerge of online dating, people are also finding their partners for a one-night stand on apps and other adult dating sites.

How many people go back to talk to their one-night stand partner?

Though, it’s not a good idea to go back to your one-night stand partner. Some people do not have any issues in doing this.

But Americans are more inclined towards not talking to their one-night stand partners again as according to the survey, 43% of them didn’t keep any communication with their partners after the night.

The Europeans were a lot cooler about this as only 29% of them did not keep any communication with their one-night stand partners.

39% of European men and 45% of women would not like to discuss nor inform about their one-night experience with anyone, not even their close friends.

Americans are not very different in this approach. Here, 34% of men and 42% of women would do the same.

However, there are the rest 49% of European men and 58% of American men who would love to discuss it with their friends.

The women too seem to love talking about it to a few close friends as 48% of European women and 54% of American women agree to share their experience with their friends.

Are people judged for one night stands?

17% of European men and 14% of American men were of the opinion that they would judge others even if they have the experience of a one-night stand.

The women appeared to be more judgemental than the men and 25% of European women and 21% of American women agreed that they would judge someone else for their one-night stand even if they walked the same path in the past.

While women were more likely to disapprove of their friends for their experiences, men didn’t really care about it and stayed neutral in offering disapproval.

Some of them were also proud of their friends for their experiences. 8% of women congratulated their girlfriends for their one-night stand experience and 6% of them were happy for their male friends.

In the case of guys, 20% of them congratulate their male friends but only 9% of them congratulate their female friends.

citas solteras sin gluten

The results show that both men and women are judged for their experiences, but women taste the bitter disapproval much more than their male counterparts.
